About Us
In 1975, Onofrio Miccolis, while pastoring
in Hamilton, felt the call of God to start a television
program to reach out to the local Italian community. This
was to be the beginning and the initial training for a
greater work that God was preparing in the field of world
evangelism through television. In April 1979, David Mainse,
host of "100 Huntley Street" broadcast, invited
Miccolis to produce an Italian program. On September 9,
1979, on MTV in Toronto, the "Vivere al Cento per
Cento" program was born.
Throughout the years this program has been
aired in Canada and in other nations, spreading the Good
News among the many Italians around the world. In November
1980, Onofrio Miccolis and his TV crew, while in Italy,
happened to be eye-witnesses of a historical, tragic earthquake.
In His providence, God used their presence on site, not
only to provide the very first coverage for North America,
but also to raise funds that were used to build a considerable
number of houses for the victims of the earthquake. That
occurrence gave birth to the missionary work that would
develop in years to come. Unexpectedly the Lord also opened
the doors for the TV program to be aired in Italy!
Throughout all these years, the TV program has been aired
on hundreds of TV stations, proclaiming the Name of Jesus
Christ to millions, all over Italy, Canada, the USA and
even in Australia. So many people have discovered the
abundant life of Christ, in their lives through the simple
yet powerful message of the Gospel.
In 1985, David Mainse and his organization,
donated a mobile unit which made it necessary to seek
legal recognition for "Christian Life TV International"
(CLTI) as a separate organization. Meanwhile various team
members had a chance to take training courses at "Crossroads"
in Canada, thus forming the present TV crew that takes
care of the production in Italy. At the same time, CLTI
was able to offer their technical support in different
countries such as Holland, Switzerland, Greece, Korea,
Japan and India. In 1991, as the work load of CLTI kept
on growing, another major project was achieved, namely
the building of a studio in Italy. Once again, God provided
the necessary funds through the practical co-operation
of "Crossroads", the "Italian Pentecostal
Churches of Canada" (IPPC), the "Assemblies
of God in Italy", (ADI) and other churches and individuals.
In 1989, the unforgettable missionary, the
late Dr. Mark E. Buntain, invited Onofrio Miccolis to
visit India. That first visit broadened his vision and
led him to begin a humanitarian relief ministry among
the many poor of this country. At the same time, Elio
Madonia, then secretary of CLTI, was also beginning a
similar work in the Dominican Republic. Through the past
10 years, with God's help and the co-operation of many
believers, both in the Dominican Republic, under Elio
Madonia's leadership, and in India, with Onofrio Miccolis,
various schools, centers to assist blind children, bible
schools, and 1 medical center have been built. Moreover,
lepers, orphans and many who are surviving in the streets
are being assisted, not to mention the technical contribution
that CLTI is making to produce a weekly TV program, in
the Telegu language and in English, that reaches millions
of people all over Asia. Other humanitarian projects are
in progress in the above mentioned countries as we realize
that the needs are so vast and urgent...
We have come so far thanks to many
generous hearts...However, to continue such work, your
participation is necessary! Your precious prayers and
financial support are indispensable to carry on the work
that God has entrusted each one of us with.
