With
reference to our total mission work, we thank God for
that which He helps us to do through the generosity of
so many people in different parts of the world. For
more than 15 years we have been actively engaged in
India, building schools, orphanages and centers of
assistance. In Kolkata we have built a center for 96
visually impaired children. These children could have
been sold to people without scruples to use them for
personal profit by sending them to beg alms on the
streets, but thank God, and thanks to those who help
us, these children are now protected and assisted with
love, while we try to smooth their pathway toward a
better future.
Every year we do try to do a bit
more in many areas.
This year, once again, 3000 children will receive
shoes socks and candies as tokens of love from far
away friends like you.
This project was started several
years ago to help children in many
schools in the state of West
Bengal in India. I
like to confirm that this program supplies work for 12
poor cobblers in India,
which live in precarious
conditions. These shoes are personally distributed by
Reverend Reynold Rutledge and myself, to so many
underprivileged children without distinction of
religion or social cast.
In the
month of September we will have a great gathering of
lepers from every corner of India where they might
reside; on the streets, in poor shacks, or from the
leprosarium. To them, like in the past, we will preach
the Word of God and we will distribute food and new
garments. We will keep you informed through our
bulletin.
I
desire to express my heart felt thanks to you. The
needs are indeed numerous but God is generous and
among the so many beautiful things that He gives us,
we also find the solidarity of people like you.
